Rate Vegas

I agree with the earlier review that the Rio is nothing more than a glorified motel. I was comped 2 nights. I got in late on the first night but I knew immediately I had to get out of this place. Furnishings were old and worn. The room is NOT a suite, it's just a large room with old furnishings. I thought the casino was tacky. I checked out first thing in the morning after my first night, skipping the second comp'ed night. I'd rather at another hotel than stay here for another night. If you want to save money, go to the Monte Carlo. It's a heckuva lot nicer, has a better location and is still a bargain. Possibly the best value on the strip. And if you can afford better than the Rio, don't even think of staying here--go to Paris, Mandalay, Bellagio or Venetian. Rio can't hold a candle to those places.
