In the last three months, I have been to this restaurant two times on two different trips Both times the food was awful and the service was worse. The lettuce in my salad was wilted and some of it was brown. The Reuben Sandwich was soggy both times. Both times the wait staff acted like they couldn’t hear or see us. The only time they came to the table was to bring the food and the bill. They were not friendly. I will not eat there again.

A few years ago this was a good coffee shop but as of a visit about one week ago it was really bland and the food wasn’t that good. Not sure what happened, since restaurants are the owner’s specialty and experiences elsewhere in the property have always been good. Lines to get seated or to pay your bill can be SLOW.

My wife and I have stayed at the Nugget many times over the past 15 years. We’ve always received courteous service and excellent food here. We’ve tried numerous coffee shops/restaurants downtown and on the strip, for price, atmosphere, service, and quality of food, the Carson Street Cafe is hard to beat.

This was an excellent restaurant but has fallen to low standards as a coffee shopp. In July, 2004 had the worst BLT ever.
Breakfasts OK but overpriced.

Great place to eat, especially for a cafe. I stay on
the strip, but during the summer I try to come down
here for their ice cream sundae. It’s huge and it is oh
so good. In the summer, it is easily the best way to cool
down from the hot sun. Their club sandwich is good too.

We ate at The Carson Street Cafe on May 22-May 24 and it was one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been since any prior hotel. There was plenty of food for each patron and the taste was not “too seasoned and heavy” – just wonderful flavors in each order. I wish I was now sitting down and eating the Shrimp Scampi; it was so delicable! I’d go back on my next trip. Also the prices were extremely reasonable.

We have stayed at the Golden Nugget twice and have eaten at Carsins St. Cafe each time.Like the hotel the cafe is like eating with friends or well like relatives. The staff is very friendly the food is excellent either night or day and the cost is really good for all you get. This is a 5 star with a 5 star cafe.

This wonderful restaurant will be one of the highlights of your trip. Their fruit- and nut-topped French Toast is not to be missed. The Eggs Benedict are also very, very good.
We tried the Filet Mignon for dinner and guess what? Yup, it was great too.
Great food, competant service, delightful trellised-garden ambiance. Our typical bill was $18-$20 for two, including tip (we didn’t order alcohol).
