My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Le Cirque (12/21/04).
We our convinced this is one of the best restaurants we have ever dined at, Europe and Asia included.
The food was divine and the whole staff were incredible.
If you want to know how it’s really done, have your dinner here, if you can get in.

The room is beautiful and we had reservations. We were seated within minutes and had a wonderful view of the Fountain Show. The bartender knows how to mix a good drink. Unfortunately, the wait staff was almost non-existant. The wait between courses was looonng and then the waiter brought the check with out asking if we wanted dessert. Of course, we did. After another long wait we finally got the dessert. Then another long wait for the check.
Other tables did not seem to have the same problem so maybe it was just our waiter. The food was good but for the price not memorable. Due to the waiter, we were there for almost three hours and saw a great deal of the Fountain Show but be aware, the music is not piped into the restaurant so you get to see the dancing waters but not hear what they are dancing to. I doubt we would go back.

Wonderful food (very heavy and rich), ample serving size, and great, professional wait staff….never intrusive, just there to do their job, and do it well. Not condescending, not your best pal either. Great to see such professionalism.

We had an excellent view and a nice spot in the corner where it was secluded. Althought we made reservations way ahead of time we had to wait almost nearly an hour before we were seated but the manager was nice enough to offer us any glass of wine from the bar (naturally we took the most expensive one). Other than that the food and service was great!

Classic French food at its best. Service was the finest. Ambiance whimsical—not quite as elegant as Picasso, but perhaps the playfullness of the decor only serves to accentuate the serious quality of the food. Not for the faint of wallet (same as Picasso). 1-2 cocktails per patron, dinner for 2, NO wine, gratuity, you’re looking at ~$250. It’s worth it. I’d do it again in a hearbeat (although if you ate this kind of rich food on a regular basis, you’ll quickly lose your heartbeat).

Very expensive restaurant. Just like the one in New York. Food was good but portions were small. Great view of the lake and fountains!
