You get what you pay for. Low prices equate to low qualty. The prime rib dinner offered here is horrible. The meat is overcooked and the clowns pour a gallon of au jus on the entire plate so that the cafeteria veggies and potato is saturated. They don’t even have brand name ketchup on the tables. The clam chowder was cold. The whole place smells like a budweiser fart. I wouldn’t stay or eat here if it was free. First time we visited old las vegas and the last.

Did you know that if you accidentally hit the Return key before typing any comments in that you automatically give the restaurant a 1 rating? Sorry about the prior non-entry. Food at Magnolias is the most average food I’ve eaten. There are no real special price items there except for a $7 steak dinner from 4:00pm – midnight. The burgers are pretty damn big, and the fish-n-chips are so generic that my wife loves them. I’ve had salads there, also, and the cesear (sorry about the spelling) dressing was incredibly bland. We mostly get the food for take-away, and the prep time is average. Now, there is another option besides Hugo’s, and that is the Subway/pizza place near the check-in. It used to be a Chinese restaurant, but I guess Chop Chop at The Plaza ran it out of business. ;-) The sub sandwiches are typical Subway, and the Pizza is not going to win any awards. But, if you want people to start salivating, take that large, 1-topping pizza ($7.99 all day Saturday and Sunday) through the casino on the way to the elevator. I had at least 5 comments of people telling their significant others that they really wanting some pizza. Drinken gamblers are funny when they smell warm pizza.
